Refuting The False Teachings of Jehovah’s Witnesses

1. The New World Translation has many errors and is not based on the original Hebrew and Greek

How can a person teach the truth if he uses the wrong and unreliable translation of the bible?

We can see the deception in the New World Translation bible of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The New World Translation of Jehovah’s Witnesses is not based on the original Hebrew.

Let us look at one of the verses in the OT and compare it with the Hebrew version.

Let us look at Genesis 1:1-2 of the New World Translation.

“In [the] beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of [the] watery deep; and God’s active force was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters.”(Genesis 1:1-2, new world translation)

Now, let us look at the Hebrew version.

What is written and based on the original hebrew translation is רוּח or rûach

The question is rûach, does this mean “God’s active force”?

Let us look at the meaning of rûach

We cannot see any “Active Force” which has a meaning of rûach It shows the fabrication made by Jehovah’s Witnesses.

What is written in Genesis 1:2?

This is the translation of the Hebrew word written in Genesis 1:2.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep, And a wind from God moved upon the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2)

The original Hebrew shows “wind from GOD” and that is the meaning of the rûach and not “Active Force”.

The New World Translation of Jehovah’s Witnesses is not based on the original Greek version.

In the new world translation of the New Testament, there is a verse that we can read.

“Then Jesus said to his disciples: “If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself and pick up his torture stake and continually follow me.”(Matthew 16:24, New World Translation)

For the information of everyone, this is the belief of Jehovah’s witnesses about the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross.

img 209
Jesus is crucified on an upright post which is different from our belief.

img 210
If we will notice, they replaced the cross with a torture stake. Is this is written in Greek?

What is written in Greek is “σταυρός” or “stauros”.

img 236
According to the Greek lexicon, it is formed as a T and contrary to the teachings of Jehovah that it is a straight post.

That is why our view about the crucifixion of Christ is correct.

2. One nail was used when the hands of Christ were crucified on the Cross

This is the evidence we can see based on one of their books.

img 237
You can see that only one nail was used when the hands of Christ were crucified on the cross.

Let us check the Bible for the truth.

This is what the Disciple Thomas said:

“Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”(John 20:25, New American Standard)

Did you see what was written?

Nails and not just one nail as what the book of Jehovah’s Witnesses teaches.

And we will see that Jesus was nailed on the pulse and not the palm as what we believe.

The conjunctive tissue in human beings and animals are stronger than the rope. The ligaments are conjunctive tissues and our hands are full of these.

img 213

In Anatomy, the pulse of Jesus cannot be pierced because His bones will be broken and the Bible says that His hands were pierced.
The wrist has eight bones: scaphoid, lunate, triquetrum, pisiform, trapezium, trapezoid, capitate and hamate. These bones are kept tightly together by ligaments, in such a way, that if you drive a nail through the wrist you have to pierce and break some of them.
if the wrist is pierced by a nail, it necessarily will break one or more bones.

3. Jesus and Saint Michael the Archangel are one

img 216
Jesus and Saint Michael the Archangel are one.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Jesus and Saint Michael the Archangel are one.

This is a wrong teaching of Jehovah’s Witnesses!

This is said in the Bible

“And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said, “Let all of God’s angels worship him.”(Hebrews 1:6, New Living Translation)

It is said in the Bible that all angels should adore Jesus.

Why then is the belief of Jehovah’s Witnesses that Jesus and Saint Michael the Archangel are one?

If Jesus is Saint Michael the Archangel, He cannot glorify Himself since this has no meaning to Him.

“Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’(John 8:54, English Standard Version)

4. For Jehovah’s Witnesses, it is wrong to have a blood transfusion

If someone needs blood, it is better to let him die instead of sin against God.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses made a mistake in teaching this.

First, what was forbidden by God in Leviticus 17:10 not to eat blood is the teaching of the Jews which was rendered inconsequential because of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross (Ephesians 2:15-16).

Why is a rule that has been disregarded still forbidden?

Second, you cannot read anywhere in the Bible that it is wrong for Christians to give blood to fellowmen.

In fact, Jesus Christ said there is no greater love than giving life to someone and there is nothing greater than is.

“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”(John 15:13, New Living Translation)

By giving blood to another person, you will give chances to others to continue working for his family, repent and serving God.

Third, if it is forbidden to give blood to others, how about the mother who gave blood to her child? The child came from her and his flesh is her flesh and her blood is his blood. Is that a sin?

A witness of God will not teach lies since he is giving life to others.

“A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is a traitor.”(Proverbs 14:25, New Living Translation)

5.It is wrong for Jehovah’s Witnesses to Celebrate Their Birthdays

Jehovah’s Witnesses often used Genesis 40:22-23 and Matthew 14:6-10 to say that it is wrong for Jehovah’s Witnesses to celebrate their birthdays since this is a Pagan practice.

Do the events in these two verses happen in all birthdays that Christians celebrate?

What usually happens in birthdays celebrated by Christians?

They pray before the food is eaten. Is this the teaching of Pagans?

Saint Paul said this. Is he a pagan?

“Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. For we know it is made acceptable by the word of God and prayer.”(1 Timothy 4:4-5, New Living Translation)

Does that mean giving thanks to God for His blessings and many birthdays is a Pagan practice?

St. Paul teaches to pray in all instances and that includes birthday celebrations.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”(1 Thessalonians 5:8, English Standard Version)

Third, the poor people are invited to be fed during birthdays. Is this want Pagans teach?

This is a teaching of Christ.

“But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind.”(Luke 14:13, New American Standard)
Fourth, is feeding the hungry a Pagan practice?

This is one of the corporal works of mercy that Jesus wants Christ to do.

“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty.”(Matthew 25:35, New Living Translation)

6. Jehovah is the Name of God

This is a big deception.

We cannot deny that the Jews were trusted with the message of God.

“The Jews were entrusted with the whole revelation of God.”(Romans 3:2)

What can the Jewish Encyclopedia say about this?

img 265

The Jewish Encyclopedia said clearly that the word Jehovah is “mispronunciation”.

If we analyze in Hebrew since the Old Testament was translated from this language.

This was the name of God that He introduced to Moses – Exodus 3:14-15.

We will read that from left to right and we will read Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh which means “Ehyeh” or “I Am”

and אשר

“asher” and this is a Relative Pronoun and can be translated to “Which” or “Who” or “What” or “That”.

That can be translated “I am Who I am” or “I am That I am”.

And this is what God said to Moses…

Va-yo-mer Elohim el-Mo-she ehe-asher-ehe-ye va-yo-mer ko to-mar liv’nei Israel ehe’ye sh’la-cha-ni a-lei-chem

And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM; and he said, Thus shall you say to the people of Israel, I AM has sent me to you. (Exodus 3:14, Hebrew-English Bible)

This is what a Bible Dictionary said about the name of God.

bible dictionary

“From the Study of the Structure of the Hebrew Language most scholars today believe that YHWH was probably pronounced “Yahweh.”(Holman Concise Bible Dictionary, Page 643)

According to a popular dictionary…

JEHOVAH – An incorrect transliteration of Yahweh. (Page 522, The New Websters Dictionary of the English Language)

7. According To Jehovah, Only 144,000 Will Be Saved

They use Revelation 7:1-8 which is a big lie since this only pertains to Israel.

If we continue reading, we will see in Revelation 7: 9, there are still many people from other nations.

“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands.”(Revelation 7:9, New Living Translation)

This means that other than Israelites, other people will be saved. Aside from the 144,000, there are many other people who followed God’s will who are rightful in receiving His blessing.

It is wrong that only the 144,000 will be saved as claimed by Jehovah’s Witnesses.

8. For Jehovah’s Witnesses, It Is wrong to serve in the Military

Did Jesus tell the soldiers that they were doing wrong in serving the military?

“What should we do?” asked some soldiers. John replied, “Don’t extort money or make false accusations. And be content with your pay.”(Luke 3:14, New Living Translation)

It is clear that Jesus did not say that it was wrong to be a soldier.

What Jesus only said was, “Do not ask from anyone by forcing or making unjust accusations since it is not right.”

Jehovah’s Witnesses are energetic in going to different places and houses. If they go to your home, do not allow them to poison your minds since their teachings are wrong and contrary to the teachings in the Bible.

“But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.”(2 Corinthians 11:3-4, New Living Translation)
